First Annual Green & Gold Day

As I mentioned last week, we have been busy planning the 1st Annual Green & Gold Day. The weather looks to be near perfect for Saturday and I am excited about the event.
The original concept for the event was to be a celebration of all of the good things about Cecil Lacrosse: growth, community, development and exceptional lacrosse. It was intended for us to come together as a lacrosse community and celebrate another successful season. In no way was the intent to be burdensome or induce rumors. It is all about coming together, having fun and playing some lacrosse.
With that said I wanted to share some of the details with you regarding the event. The inter-squad games are scheduled to take place between 3pm and 6pm. I have posted the games schedule to the website. We have also set aside some time for mini-games where the coaches can play on their teams.
Following the games, we are planning a tailgate/BBQ/pot luck dinner for all of the players and their families. This is where you come in. The coaches have all agreed to provide hot dogs for everyone. We are asking that each family sign-up to provide a side dish, dessert, rolls or other snack to share with everyone. We are also asking that each family provide their own beverages for the day. Each coach has a sign-up sheet and will pass around at practice on Thursday.
We as a coaching staff are very excited and look forward to being together one last time this season and celebrating all that Cecil Lacrosse has to offer.
